Terms & Conditions

These terms govern access to Marion County Busted Mugshots and its reference material. Using the site means that you agree to follow them. If you do not accept every condition, please stop using the site.

This privately owned guide is not affiliated with MCSO, the Marion County Adult Detention Center, IDOC, or any government body. It is neither a private investigation firm nor a consumer reporting agency, and neither the site nor its advertising partners offers FCRA-covered screening services.

Nature of the Website

This is a private reference publication, not an official government service. It stores no sheriff, jail, court, or corrections record and cannot confirm custody, order release, post bond, or file a document.

The site points visitors toward Marion County and Indiana inmate, booking, court, and corrections resources. It may also connect users to research tools run by third parties.

Acceptable Use

You may use the site only in a lawful manner that respects other people and the service itself. You agree that you will not:

  • violate a law or regulation;
  • stalk, harass, intimidate, or threaten anyone;
  • make hiring, housing, credit, lending, or insurance decisions from site material;
  • seek unauthorized access to a system or account;
  • run automated bots, crawlers, or scrapers; or
  • interfere with another visitor’s access or the site’s operation.

No Consumer Reports or Screening

Marion County Busted Mugshots is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. It does not supply background checks, credit reports, or consumer reports, and neither do its advertising partners through this site. You agree not to use this material for:

  • employment, hiring, discipline, or termination;
  • tenant or housing screening;
  • creditworthiness, lending, or insurance pricing;
  • licenses, permits, or eligibility for a government program; or
  • any other decision regulated by the FCRA.

Third-Party Destinations

Links can lead to jail locators, public-record request pages, sheriff and corrections sites, court portals, legal resources, news pages, or outside search providers. They are supplied for convenience and are not endorsements. We do not control a destination’s content, privacy practices, data use, availability, or terms, which you should review separately.

Service Provided As Is

The website and all material are supplied “as is” and “as available.” We make no warranty that:

  • content is accurate, complete, or current;
  • the service will remain uninterrupted;
  • every defect, bug, or security weakness will be absent; or
  • a partner search will be comprehensive.

Custody and public records can change quickly. Nothing here is an official statement from MCSO, a court, IDOC, or another public office.

Limits of Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, the site and its operators will not be liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or other damages arising from access to, use of, or inability to use the site or linked services.

Your Duty to Indemnify

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold the site and its operators harmless from claims, losses, liabilities, and reasonable legal fees caused by your use of the service or your breach of these terms.

Ownership of Site Materials

Unless stated otherwise, the site’s text, graphics, logos, and code belong to Marion County Busted Mugshots or its content partners. You may not copy, distribute, modify, or republish them without prior written permission.

Revisions to These Terms

We may revise these conditions at any time. A new version takes effect when it is posted on this page, and continued use after posting means acceptance of that version.

Suspension or Loss of Access

We may restrict, suspend, or end access to any part of the site at any time, for any reason, and without prior notice.

Indiana Law Applies

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Indiana, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute must be filed in a court with jurisdiction in Indiana.

If One Term Is Invalid

If a court finds one provision invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect. The affected language will be adjusted only as much as needed to make it enforceable.
